Objectives

 

This course presents the fundamental properties of matter, discussing radioactive materials and different types of radiation. It deals with principles of ionization and the interaction of radiation with matter, and covers in detail the various exposure devices and radiation sources. It also discusses the techniques of X-ray production and concentrates on the geometric principles of radiography, as well as the factors affecting image quality. In addition it discusses various exposure techniques, fluoroscopic techniques and film handling loading and processing. Level I Radiographic Testing procedures are also discussed in this course.
